The forum theme is “Rising to the challenge: Sustainability, community and culture” with speakers and delegates from around Australasia. We are seeking abstracts that will inspire and tell stories of rising to the challenge to meet sustainability in medicine, whilst ensuring appropriate service delivery to meet the community’s health and cultural needs. Abstracts should integrate the theme across the medical education spectrum, with a particular focus on prevocational training.
We are particularly looking for papers that address the following topics:
Community
The need to consider community needs and context in training and practice, to enhance health outcomes.
Inter-professional education.
Building a community of educational practice- especially in rural areas and when utilising technology.
Culture
Culturally safe, inclusive and responsive medical education and care for First Nations and other diverse cultural groups.
Abstract submission period: 13th May - Midnight 7th July 2024 (late submissions will not be accepted).
