Travel Bursary
The Aboriginal Housing and Homelands Conference - travel bursary, generously supported by our partners and sponsors, aims to ensure that voices from across all regions and areas of sea country are represented at the conference. By supporting participants from diverse communities, the bursary helps foster a rich exchange of knowledge, experiences, and perspectives that reflect the full breadth of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander housing and homelands initiatives.
Bursaries are limited in number and will be awarded until the allocated budget is exhausted.
To apply, applicants must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and are encouraged to provide accurate details of travel needs or accommodation requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be an Aboriginal resident of the Northern Territory living in a regional or remote area (100km or more outside Darwin CBD, excluding Tiwi Islands);
- Be a Northern Territory resident currently working for a non-government organisation (NGO); and
- You have completed your registration for the conference.
Important Dates
- Applications close on 11 March 2026, or earlier if the allocated bursary budget is exhausted.
- All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by 13 March 2026

- Clearly outline your travel requirements and any specific challenges you may face in attending the conference.
- Highlight how your participation will contribute to the diversity and knowledge-sharing objectives of the AHHC.
