Jason Strong has more than 30 years’ red meat and livestock experience, knowledge and connections from the farm through to the end consumer in both domestic and international markets. He is a well-recognised and respected senior executive with extensive skills in commercial and industry business management and administration, supply chain development, meat science and grading, genetics and marketing as well as on-farm experience. Jason Strong is Managing Director of Meat & Livestock Australia Ltd and is a director of Integrity Systems Company Limited, MLA Donor Company Limited, AUS-MEAT Limited and Red Meat Traceability Systems Pty Ltd.

Described by Channel 4 in the UK as “one of the most influential political strategists and pollsters to walk the planet”, and in Australia’s AFR  as “... a genius at transforming raw research into compelling communication”, Mark Textor was the only common thread behind the electoral successes of Prime Ministers John Howard, John Key and David Cameron.

His research and strategic advice has also been sought by a number of other world leaders as a well as the leadership of some of the world’s most influential corporations. Boris Johnson, who sought Tex’s counsel on his two Mayoral victories described Tex as the “sorcerer of numbers”.

Raelene Webb QC

Murray Chambers, WA

Presentation title: Native Title - Where to From Here

Ms Raelene Webb QC is recognised as one of the leading native title silks in Australia, having appeared as lead counsel in many native title and Aboriginal land matters and has advised upon, and appeared in the High Court, in most land-mark cases on the judicial interpretation and development of native title law since the decision of Mabo v Queensland (No 2).

Raelene lived most of her life in the Northern Territory until 2013 when she was appointed President of the National Native Title Tribunal, located in Perth, for a five year term. She has now returned to the bar, practising at Murray Chambers (WA) which is affiliated with Murray Chambers (NT) and Murray Chambers (SA).

Having been closely involved in the law of native title from its judicial recognition in 1992, representing governments, pastoralists, miners and native title holders, Raelene is uniquely qualified to bring her perspective on Native Title: Where to from here? and to challenge us all to imagine new ways to move forward together.

Lachlan Monbourgh

Head of Sustainable Business Development -  Rabobank

Presentation Title: 'Green’ Corporate Commitments and what it means for producers.

Lachlan Monsbourgh is the Head of Sustainable Business Development for Rabobank in New Zealand and Australia. Lachlan is currently building for the bank an assessment tool which measures the environmental and agronomic performance of clients so the bank can deepen its relationship with clients.

Before joining Rabobank, Lachlan previously worked for the Zurich based chocolate manufacturer Barry Callebaut running their agronomic R&D division providing research and technical services to cocoa farmers around the tropical belt. Previous to Barry Callebaut he worked for Ecom and ran their cocoa export business out of PNG, running both a trading arm and an NGO to deliver services to smallholder farmers.

Daryl Killin - Savanna Burning Carbon Projects - Natural Carbon

With 25 years of practical experience in all aspects of tropical forestry, fire and carbon project operations and management, with time spent in government and corporate roles, Daryl can operate at both strategic and operational levels, ensuring the best possible outcomes.

He has and strong record overseeing implementation of successful forestry, natural resource  management and indigenous carbon abatement projects, currently supporting 11 savanna burning projects across Northern Australia with Natural Carbon. Registered Professional Forester (#102) with The Institute of Foresters of Australia. Accredited trainer in planning ERF savanna burning projects.

Jasmine Boxsell - Commercial Projects Officer, Consolidated Pastoral Company  - CPC Beef Herd Project

As the Commercial Projects Officer with CPC, Jasmine is responsible for assisting in planning and strategizing the business’ commercial operations; managing the execution of projects (both internal and externally partnered projects); and identifying opportunities for the integration of innovative and complimentary project-programs into the company’s commercial operations.

Jasmine’s involvement in the CPC’s Beef Herd Project has been as the CPC Project Leader since implementation and now as a producer-scheme participant.
