About the Conference

We look forward to presenting the NAEEA 7th International Conference on Enabling Education (ICEE). The conference will be hosted by Charles Darwin University and held at the beautiful Waterfront campus. 

The NAEEA conference is held biannually and provides an opportunity for academics to broaden their academic networks and discuss topics relevant to the sector.  NAEEA is affiliated with the Foundation and Bridging Educators of New Zealand (FABENZ), with FABENZ conferences held in New Zealand in alternate years to enable broader discussions and to share ideas.  

Who should attend the Conference:

  • Enabling educators and practitioners who support students' transition to university, including Preparatory, Bridging, Student Success, and Foundation programs. 
  • Academic and professional staff interested in students' transition to university. 
  • Directors of Student Success, Educational Excellence, Education Strategy, Learning and Teaching, Academic Staff Development, and Digital Learning Strategies.
  • Assistant and Associate Deans Learning and Teaching
  • Academic and professional institutional leaders
  • Researchers in higher, tertiary, and adult education

Types of submissions (apply to present now):

  • Oral Presentations - 10 minutes + 2.5 minutes Q&A
  • Oral Presentations - 20 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A
  • Poster Presentations
  • Workshop - 50 minutes
