Dr Josie Douglas

Dr. Josie Douglas is a long-time advocate for social justice and has been at the forefront of negotiating NT and Australian government policies to get the best outcomes for remote residents and communities.

She is an award winning researcher having worked for research agencies such as CSIRO and CDU. In 2017 she was awarded the prestigious WEH Stanner Award for her PhD. Josie has worked in senior executive positions at the Central Land Council and Central Australian Aboriginal Congress.

She is currently the General Manager, Professional Services at the Central Land Council. Josie is a descendant of the Wardman people (NT).
