The LGANT Circular Economy Symposium will be taking place on 27th and 28th August at the Adina Vibe Darwin Waterfront.
The LGANT Circular Economy Symposium brings together local government, industry and key partners to explore practical solutions, share insights and build momentum for the circular economy across the Northern Territory
Tickets for the Symposium Dinner and the WRINT industry event are available to all and can be purchased with your Symposium registration or as standalone tickets.
LGANT delivers a range of events throughout the year that support councils, foster collaboration, and strengthen the local government sector across the Northern Territory.
Key annual events include:
- April Symposium (including the General Meeting) – A focused forum for councils to discuss policy, advocacy and sector priorities.
- November Conference (including the Annual General Meeting) – The NT’s largest local government event, featuring keynote speakers, panel discussions and professional development opportunities.
- Circular Economy Symposium (biennial) – Bringing together councils, government and industry to explore waste management and circular economy solutions.
LGANT also hosts a variety of targeted forums, workshops and training programs, including elected member training, procurement and finance events, sports, arts and culture forums, and smart council technology workshops.
Many events include corporate partner displays and networking opportunities, creating valuable opportunities for councils, government and industry representatives to connect.
The Local Government Association of the Northern Territory (LGANT) is the peak body representing the local government sector in the NT. We represent all 18 local government councils. Membership consists of five municipals, three shires, ten regional councils, and one associate member (Nhulunbuy Corporation).
Established in 1992, LGANT advances the interests of local government in the Northern Territory through policy development, advocacy, representation, training, capacity building and support.
