Birriah, Nywaigi and Turrbal Traditional Owner, GBRF Integrated Monitoring and Reporting Traditional Owner Technical Working Group Member

Scott Anderson is a proud Birriah, Nywaigi and Turrbal Traditional Owner. His leadership extends to various roles, including Chair of Greening Australia's Thriving on Country Committee and a valued member of the Greening Australia Board. Additionally, he serves as the Executive Officer of Many Nations Ltd, a visionary organisation that provides hostel accommodation and empowers educational outcomes for marginalised and disengaged First Nations youth attending Silver Lining Schools in Queensland.

Through Many Nations Ltd he is also piloting an International Educator Exchange Program between First Nations Educators in Australia and Native American Educators in the US. He is currently employed by Silver Lining Foundation Australia and is responsible for developing Strategic Partnerships and Culture for their existing schools and their planned expansions.

Scott also currently sits as a member of the Great Barrier Reef Foundation's Integrated Monitoring and Reporting Traditional Owner Technical Working Group. With a specialisation in business and strategic planning, Scott utilises his exceptional community engagement skills to drive the development of Indigenous enterprises, foster sustainable financial strategies, and navigate the intricate nexus of community, culture, and commerce. Drawing from his extensive expertise in sectors such as tourism, agribusiness, conservation and land management, education, vocational education & training (VET), early learning, government, and community, Scott expertly integrates innovation to support business development and facilitate sustainable growth strategies. With his knowledge and passion, Scott continues to make significant strides in advancing the well-being and opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia.
