Dr Sam Wood
Environmental Scientist, Aquenal
Sam is an Environmental Scientist with a long history of working in terrestrial ecosystems but he now specialises in marine systems. In his current role as principal data analyst for the marine consultancy Aquenal, Sam’s work primarily involves analysis of long-term water quality and ecological datasets. A focus of his recent work has been the assessment of potential environmental impacts of aquaculture in relation to a range of regulatory, compliance and certification frameworks. Sam has also contributed to the preparation of Environmental Impact Statements and Biodiversity Assessments for projects across a variety of Australian marine systems. Sam regularly uses the extensive Reef Life Survey database for impact assessments and for investigating ecological changes associated with marine protected areas.
