Malcolm Mann is a key member of the Great Barrier Reef Foundation's Traditional Owner Advisory Group. Mal is one of the original members of the Traditional Owner Steering Group for the Reef Traditional Owner Implementation Plan and a previous Chair for the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority Indigenous Reef Advisory Committee. Mal is currently a Director for Darumbal People Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC and is also the Darumbal Enterprises Pty Ltd Business Development Manager (on occasion A/General Manager) and Darumbal TUMRA Chair.

As a Traditional Owner and proud Darumbal man, Mal has seen first-hand the drastic change in the health of the Reef and its Catchments as a Traditional Owner and as a former Community, Marine Parks Ranger and former GBRMPA officer. This rich experience and knowledge mean Mal can provide strategic guidance to the Great Barrier Reef Foundation in advancing the co-design and implementation of the Reef Trust Partnership programs. Malcolm believes “we'd see immediate improvements to our Country if Traditional Owners were highly invested in and trusted to look after Country.”
