Chair of the Namultja Aboriginal Corporation  

David Barrett is a proud Marra man who grew up in his country on Limmen river. As a young man he worked with his families barra fishing and crabbing business before taking a role as Li Anthawirriyarra sea ranger. He has now worked there for 17 years and is the remote area manager and fisheries inspector. He is also the chairperson of Namultja Aboriginal Corporation created by Marra people, focusing on land and sea management and advocacy of Marra country amplifying the voice of Marra people. He is continuously motived by his elders words, including- Together We Are Stronger.
