Chris Frid is professor of marine biology at Griffith University. A soft sediment benthic ecologist by background, he specialises in understanding how human activities impact on marine ecosystems and how these impacts can be managed. Chris has worked with various industries, governments and international bodies such as the UN to help develop more sustainable use of the seas and oceans. He is a research program leader in the Blue Economy CRC and currently leads their project top develop a marine spatial planning framework for Australia.
